If you use this booklet to witness, please be sure to be very loving and gentle when you give it to someone. Normally, you have to win a person's respect before you can win his or her soul. Treat the person you are reaching out to, not as a foe, but as a friend---a fellow seeker of truth. Make an effort to become all things to all men that you might save some (1 Corinthians 9:22).
Just like you enter God's gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, try to enter the gates and courts of other people's lives by thanking them for certain kind deeds or praising them over certain good qualities or abilities, even praising some GOOD thing their religion has done or believes. You should be able to do this without flinching, even if you disagree with the majority of what their particular sect teaches. For instance, you could praise a Buddhist for the emphasis that religion puts on compassion, or praise a Muslim for the amazing way they use their alphabet to produce works of art.
Or just suppose you have a neighbor who is an alcoholic, but he's meticulous about keeping his yard groomed. Take every opportunity to thank him and praise him for his evident gift at landscaping and gardening.
When you do these things, the people you are trying to reach don't perceive you as just another religious person trying to force your beliefs on others. Instead, when they feel genuine interest and sincere approval coming from you, they tend to drop their defenses. You have treated them with respect and earned the right to speak into their lives.
Followers of a New Age mindset especially do not respond well to doctrinal disputes or critical condescension. Instead, you should use the approach that Paul did on Mars Hill. He appealed to the Greeks' intellectual curiosity by telling them that he knew the deity they referred to as THE UNKNOWN GOD (Acts 17:23).
Or use the approach Jesus used with the woman at the well. He could have easily criticized her over her belief system or her evident immorality. Instead He appealed to her spiritual thirst. He simply said, Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.
But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:13-14). If God in a human body used this approach of kindness, you and I certainly should!

The man who won me to the LORD (Kent Sullivan) steered away from all the doctrinal issues about Christianity that I disagreed with (when I was a yoga teacher at four universities).
