Born deaf, David Harrison attended special education classes for eight years before being mainstreamed into public school, graduating in 1955. He then attended a Bible school in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He and his wife, Cathy, served the Lord among the Native Cree Tribe for four years. Upon their return to the USA, they conducted missionary evangelism work for more than fifty years. Now widowed, David currently resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Author David Harrison wrote his novella, The Legend of David’s Amazing Harp, to help hurting and grieving people draw closer to God. The inspiration for this story came to David in a moment of anxiety and hopelessness a few hours before conducting his twin brother’s funeral. He, his family, and friends needed some hope from the Lord to cope with their grief.
That morning, David rose at five to walk and pray. He asked God, “Please show me You care.” He needed a message from heaven to comfort himself and others. Suddenly, he heard the sound of harp music playing from above and in his heart. In that moment, the entire legend of David’s harp filled the author’s soul with great joy and comfort. It was truly a gift given by God’s loving grace— which David sincerely desires to share with you.
