Book Mentoring Service

At Deeper Revelation Books, one of our goals is to assist writers in developing their ideas into actual books. Sometimes that involves a deeper commitment on our part from the beginning of a project.

We call it Book Mentoring—teaching aspiring writers:

  • how to decide what the objective of a book will be
  • how to choose a primary title and subtitle
  • how to lay out a copyright page
  • how to properly cite sources
  • how to develop an outline
  • how to implement the normal structure of a book
  • how to organize existing material
  • how to research fresh material
  • how to choose interesting illustrations to enhance the presentation
  • how to engage your readers
  • how to choose inspiring and intriguing chapter titles and paragraph body-titles
  • how to encapsulate the essence of a book in the cover graphics and font choices
  • how to properly write a book description and bio statement for the back cover
  • how to develop a manuscript until it reaches its peak in the concluding chapter
  • most importantly—how to think creatively with the "mind of Christ" (1 Cor. 2:16).

That is why we offer a DRB BOOK MENTORING PROGRAM—for a very reasonable fee. The initial charge starts at $399. A full estimate will be presented to the author, after an assessment of the materials has been made.

This initial estimate will give you a month of interaction with an expert editor, with a maximum of four hours of conversation time, plus email communications.

Additional time is $300 for an entire month, or $75 per week (with a maximum of one hour of conversation time per week plus emails). The charge includes the time your editor will need to devote to reading your materials and exploring options.
