Margo Holmes resides in Lake Placid, Florida, with her husband, Bill. Her heart’s desire is to share simple biblical truths that will help children of all ages understand the heart of God. Showing Your Child What Can Happen Through Praise and Prayer
For days, a slave girl followed Paul and Silas as they made their way to their customary place of prayer. Possessed with a demon, she cried out constantly after the two men. Finally, Paul became so grieved, he turned and cast the evil spirit out and the girl was set free. Her owners accused Paul and Silas of causing trouble in the city, so they had them beaten and thrown into prison.
How Paul and Silas responded to their unfair and cruel circumstances will teach your child that miracles can occur when we keep a right spirit and continue to praise and trust our Savior even in challenging times. In addition, your child will learn how God used the disciples to help the very one in charge of keeping them bound: “the keeper of the prison.”
