Margo Holmes resides in Lake Placid, Florida, with her husband, Bill. Her heart’s desire is to share simple biblical truths that will help children of all ages understand the heart of God. Teaching your child how God kept His greatest promise
Every year when we celebrate Christmas, we are celebrating the faithfulness of God’s great love for us.
When God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary, a promise was proclaimed: “You have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a Son. You are to call him Jesus.” When the angel came to Joseph in a dream, he reassured Joseph with a promise: “The child conceived in Mary is from the Holy Spirit. He shall save His people from their sins.” When an angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds, God’s promise was confirmed and proclaimed: “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today a Savior has been born.”
We celebrate Christmas because God kept the greatest promise He ever gave to the world. He sent His Son to save us.
